State Library Indigenous collections
The Library holds a significant collection of materials relating to the history and experiences of Indigenous Australian people in NSW and across Australia. Compiled by Europeans – colonists, government officials, explorers, missionaries and travellers – since 1788, this material includes vocabularies embedded in historical documents, letters, manuscripts, diaries, journals and printed works.
