Check this out--LITERARY COMMONS! Bringing together Australian and Indian Indigenous writing:
Literary Commons will see 12 Indigenous writers take part in four literary festivals and three university engagements in India at the end of the year during Australia’s summer.
It has been curated by Dr Mridula Nath Chakraborty from University of Western Sydney’s Writing and Society Research Centre, and funded by the Australia Council for the Arts.
It will be a long-term program helping to foster writing of especial relevance to Australia and India, both First Nations/Indigenous and bhasha/Dalit literatures.
The writers participating in the program include Alexis Wright, Ali Cobby Eckerman, Anita Heiss, Jared Thomas, and Lionel Fogarty.
