Since the launch of the Rediscovering Indigenous Languages website, the Indigenous Services team have been receiving calls and emails from across Australia about the great work that is happening with language revitalisation. The following information is from First Languages Australia 

This has been a hugely exciting week for our first languages and in particular for the Parkes Wiradjuri language team, with the video of the inspiring community program having reached over 175,000 views in a week–with the numbers still growing.

After AIME Mentoring last week shared Our Mother Tongue: Wiradjuri on their Facebook page. The response has been astounding, with many thousands of shares and hundreds of supportive comments which are a great affirmation of the value of the work being done.

Nearly 500 people have written to share their support for language programs and the powerful effects they can have in regional communities. We have copied a tiny sample of the comments below.
